a prophetic statement made by a friend years ago (prior to the internet boom - insert New Media/Web Designer here...). my buddy germ was heading into culinary arts school at the time. when he wasn't contributing major philanthropic art works to the city, inking tattoos, skating, or customizing cars - he was getting certified in the kitchen. it all paid off nicely back in those days with a big hat in the kitchen at Tapatio . sadly the tapatio days are over, but it's turned out well for jeremy as he now wears the biggest of hats at a damn fine small plate & wine bar up in the northern burbs Luce Cafe . tons of care and creativity go into dishes like the "shrimp martini" and "grilled lamb chops". the wine bar is KILLER and priced righteously (no on tap beers though?). it's big fun up there in powell and it's so right on to see a fellar like germ gettin' on like that.
